Mixing Credits
During my first year at The University of Texas at Austin, I become interested in KVRX 91.7, the school's student radio station. I successfully applied for a post-production internship, where I would mix and engineer live sets performed by Austin-based bands. I held this position for three consecutive semesters, gaining valuable hands-on experience in audio engineering, before being promoted to the Post Audio Director position in the fall of 2025.
My Work
| In Spring 2024, my first project as an intern involved mixing a live set by lluvii, an Austin-based Neo-Soul / Art Rock group. The project was particularly engaging as it challenged me to balance a smooth overall sound with dynamic elements, primarily through reverb experimentation. This experience helped me develop my skills in creating both polished and exciting mixes. | |
| During Spring 2024, I was assigned to mix a live set by Sketch, a Neo-Soul group from Austin, which has been my favorite mixing experience to date. While I would eagerly listen to and recommend their music, the band hasn't yet released any official recordings. I look forward to their future releases! | |
| During Fall 2024, my second semester as an intern, I mixed a live set by CorMae, an Austin-based punk band. This project was particularly exciting as it allowed me to experiment with various distortion effects, which was new territory for me compared to previous assignments. | |
| In Fall 2025, I was promoted to become the Post Audio Director, and mixed a live set by Kid_Wy, a rock / psychadelic pop band from Austin. Given the airy nature of their music, I was able to experiment with making the sound of the recording more breezy out, maintaing the smoothness that their sound is known for. | |
| In Fall 2025, I mixed a live set by Hallo, a rock band from Austin. Their sound was a bit heavier, while still feeling clean, and it was interesting trying to achieve that balance! I really enjoyed working on their set, and am excited to see where they go from here! | |
| In Fall 2025, I mixed a live set by Paradise, a hardcore band from Austin. Similar to Cormae, this bands sound was more distorted, but even more extreme with the addition of loud screaming vocals throughout most of the set. Rather than previous sets where I worked on finding ways to make the sound feel clean, I decided to lean into the distorted nature of the set, making for my harshest sounding mix yet. |
